Workshop A: 'Believe: Creating Imaginary Worlds' | 2:30 p.m.

Utilizing digital drawing and painting techniques, as well as the principles of linear and atmospheric perspective, painting professor Kent Knowles combines source images from reality with invented environments to create newly imagined, fantastical worlds.

Workshop B: 'Digital Photomontage in Architecture' | 2:30 p.m.

Learn tips and tricks from architecture professor Maggie McManus on merging two (or more) images together. These techniques are widely used in the profession as architects seek to visually communicate their proposed ideas into an already existing context.

Workshop C: 'A Gouache Demo' | 2:30 p.m.

Join illustration professor Stephen Gardner for an Introduction to gouache and its versatility. In this 30-minute demo, Professor Gardner demonstrates using different surfaces and paint techniques. Learn to apply these techniques to your own masterpieces. You may paint along or just enjoy watching!

Workshop D: 'Dress Like a Royal' | 2:30 p.m.

Join fashion professor Sarah Collins to discuss the types of garments worn by royals, such as the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans and how they influence fashion today. Simply using a bed sheet, Professor Collins demonstrates draping techniques to fashion gala gowns, chitons, togas, and more while participants use the same techniques to create their own garments.
